In this class you will learn the basics of foundation paper piecing. The method that we teach involves sewing directly onto a printed paper pattern while the fabric pieces are held in place underneath. This allows you to create a quilt block with unusual geometric shapes, small pieces or odd angles on the bias. What we love about paper piecing is that it is fast and extremely accurate and doesn't require a lot of supplies!
The pattern will be provided.
For the class you will need to bring the following:
- 1/4 yd or fat quarter of: 2 shades of blue, 2 shades of red, one shade of fabric that contrasts the other colors, such as yellow or orange.
- Fat quarter or black or white for the background
- Sewing machine in good working order with power cord, foot control, presser feet.
- Seam roller
- 12" Add-A-Quarter ruler
