Bindings, Borders and Backings

This class will be held at our Longmont store.  Bring your unfinished quilt to the class.  Debbie will teach you binding techniques using 2 1/2" strips, how to maneuver corners and how to finish the binding strip.  You will learn how to measure your project to achieve a perfectly squared quilt and how to figure out the width of your added borders.  Lastly, you'll be taught how to prepare the back of your quilt, whether you quilt it yourself or have a longarmer finish it for you.  The instruction includes how to manage the seam/s and figure out the best seam placement.  Whether you are new to quilting or need a refresher course, you'll leave class with the confidence you need to finish your quilt!

Please bring with you to class:

  •  One yard of quilting cotton
  •  One 18"x 18" square of quilt batting
