This is a 3-day fun retreat and one you don't want to miss. You'll learn all aspects of serging from threading, seaming, incorporating decorative stitches, and how to use your accessory feet. If you own the Ovation or Triumph, you are welcome to bring your own machine. Please also bring your foot kit (if you have one) and all other accessories that came with your machine. There is also an Advanced Session that will be held on August 8, 9, 10 in Longmont. You must complete the Beginner Session in order to take the Advanced. The event will be held at Maggie's Sewing & Vacuum, 1737 So. College Ave, Fort Collins. A $100 deposit will be required upon registration to hold your seat.
Do you know that wonderful feeling of accomplishment when your sewing room is tidy, all of your UFO’s are complete and you can start guilt-free on a new project? Me neither. Join us at Maggie’s Sewing and Fabric in Longmont for this monthly club. There is one qualification: You must have several unfinished projects or something in mind that you have always wanted to make but you haven’t gotten "Round Tuitt."
Have you been struggling to close your (or your teen's) t-shirt drawer as your collection of well-loved T's increases over the years? It's not easy to get rid of them -- they are the equivalent of a textile scrapbook. They evoke memories of vacations, events, concerts, teams, movies and much more.
A single Mariner's Compass block used to take many hours to make -- not anymore! Using the Robin Ruth ruler, you'll learn how to make this traditional block in about two hours. Join us for a fun day (bring your lunch!) and leave with a completed 12" block. You'll also learn how you can make these blocks in sizes ranging from 6" to 36".
